Pottery and sculpture

All pottery and sculpture groups have the use of four potter’s wheels, several turntables and sundry other equipment. Earthenware and stoneware clays are provided as are slips and glazes, which are made up by members. The kiln is fired twice a week, again, by members. The more experienced are happy to advise beginners.

Pottery and sculpture groups meet on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:

Weekly 9.15-12 Noon and/or Noon-3.30pm
Weekly 8-10pm - At this group, plaster is available for sculpture. Help and advice can be given with woodcarving.

Annual Exhibition

The annual exhibition takes place in the summer. It is an opportunity to show the public examples of members’ work at various ability levels. Many exhibits are for sale.
